Peace Day – Maria Montessori extolled the benefits of a peaceful community. We embrace peace at Cowles, and celebrate with an annual festival.
Trunk or treat – instead of going around town for Beggar’s night, families park in the Cowles parking lot for Halloween and trick-or-treat from trunk to trunk.
Valentine’s Day dance – children bring a parent or other loving adult for a dressy evening of dancing and refreshments.
Field Day – In the spring we enjoy playing outside. We set up stations with a variety of different physical activities – everything from sack races to water-bucket relays.
Book Exchange – Each year children are invited to bring their old books in to swap for someone else’s old books. In the past we’ve had enough donations that every child received at least one book.
These events would not be possible without help from our dedicated teachers and generous parent volunteers. Please consider joining us!
